This product is constructed with hand-laid carbon fibre for the muffler outer sleeve and end cap, with a high-grade stainless-steel inner structure, noise insert, link pipe, and headers, resulting in a race track use–oriented exhaust that is 68.6% (8.3 kg) lighter that the standard stock version. Maximum performance is obtained due to a different exhaust configuration, creating performance gains throughout the entire rev range above 5,000 rpm. Power and torque increases of 5.7 kW (7.7 hp) at 13,200 rpm and 7.7 Nm at 6,000 rpm have been recorded, respectively, when compared to a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R equipped with a standard stock exhaust and tested on the Akrapovič dyno. The racing look is due to removal of the pre-muffler; the exhaust has two lambda sensors to counter this.
